By creating an account or using Wagabond Pets ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use our Service.

2. Account Registration

Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old
• Users under 18 need parental consent
• You must provide accurate information
• One account per person (multiple pets allowed)

Account Security

• You're responsible for your account security
• Keep your password confidential
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• We use Clerk for secure authentication

Communications & Cookies

By creating an account, you consent to:

• Essential cookies for authentication and service functionality
• Local browser storage for user preferences
• Transactional emails (account, billing, security alerts)
• Product update emails (new features, improvements, bug fixes)

3. Subscription & Billing

Billing Terms

• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled
• Payments processed securely via Stripe
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• All fees in USD unless otherwise stated

Refund Policy

• Cancel anytime, access continues until period ends
• No refunds for partial months/years
• Contact support for billing issues within 7 days

4. Service Description

Wagabond Pets provides:

• Secure storage for pet health records
• Smart document processing for veterinary records
• Vaccination and medication tracking
• Time-boxed secure record sharing
• Multiple pet profiles per account

5. User Responsibilities

You Agree To:

• Provide accurate pet health information
• Upload only legitimate veterinary records
• Respect others' privacy and pet data
• Use the service legally and ethically
• Not attempt to access others' accounts

You Will NOT:

• Upload fraudulent or altered documents
• Impersonate veterinary professionals
• Share false medical information
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Scrape, mine, or harvest data
• Reverse engineer our service

6. Medical Disclaimer

Document Processing Disclaimer

Our smart document processing automatically extracts data from your uploaded records but may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying all extracted information against your original veterinary records before relying on it.

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content

• You retain ownership of your pet's records
• You grant us license to store and process your data
• You're responsible for content you upload

Our Property

• Wagabond Pets name, logo, and branding
• Service design and functionality
• Software code and algorithms

8. Privacy & Data

Your use of our Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Your personal data is not sold to third parties
• You can delete your data anytime
• You control sharing permissions
• Data stored securely on Google Cloud

9. Limitation of Liability

We Are Not Liable For:

• Medical decisions based on stored records or automatically extracted data
• Errors or inaccuracies in document processing
• Data loss beyond our reasonable control
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Third-party service failures (Stripe, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities

Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.

As-Is Service

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Wagabond Pets from claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of others' rights.

11. Termination

By You

• Cancel subscription anytime from account settings
• Request account deletion anytime
• Export your data before deletion

By Us

• For Terms violations with notice
• For illegal or harmful activities immediately
• For non-payment after grace period

12. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Contact us first at support@admin.wagabondpets.com to resolve disputes informally.

Arbitration

Unresolved disputes will be settled by binding arbitration under AAA rules, not in court (except small claims).

13. General Terms

• Governing Law: Laws of the State of Texas, USA
• Venue: Disputes shall be resolved in Tom Green County, Texas
• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the full agreement
• Severability: Invalid provisions don't affect others
• No Waiver: Not enforcing a right isn't waiving it
• Assignment: We may assign; you may not

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days notice for material changes. Continued use means acceptance.
