Export, correct, or delete your data anytime. Opt out of research programs. We respect your choices.

Regardless of your location, you have these rights:

  • Access: View all data we have about you and your pets
  • Correction: Fix any inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Remove your account and all associated data
  • Portability: Receive a copy of your data on request, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Email support@wagabondpets.com to start an export request.
  • Opt-out: Exclude your data from anonymized research
  • Transparency: Know exactly how your data is used

European Union (GDPR)

3. How to Exercise Your Rights

How to Submit a Request

Send requests to support@wagabondpets.com with:

  • Your account email address
  • Specific request (access, correction, deletion, etc.)
  • Any relevant details

We'll respond within 30 days (or 45 days for complex requests with notice)

4. Data Deletion Process

Account Deletion Timeline:

  1. Immediate: Account deactivated, access revoked
  2. 24 hours: Personal data queued for deletion
  3. 7 days: Grace period for accidental deletion
  4. 30 days: All personal data permanently deleted
  5. Retained: Anonymized aggregate data only

What Gets Deleted

  • ✓ Your account information
  • ✓ All pet profiles and photos
  • ✓ Medical records and documents
  • ✓ Usage history and preferences
  • ✓ Payment information

What May Be Retained

  • • Anonymized, aggregated statistics
  • • Records required by law (tax records, disputes)
  • • Backup data (deleted within 90 days)

5. Data Portability

What an Export Looks Like

When you request an export, our team prepares a package that contains your account information and pet records in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (typically JSON, with original uploaded documents included as files). We can also produce a human-readable PDF on request. Let us know which format you prefer when you email support@wagabondpets.com.

  • Pet profiles and information
  • Medical records and history
  • Vaccination schedules
  • Medication logs
  • Uploaded documents
  • Share history and access logs

6. Data Correction

If you find inaccurate information:

  • Most data can be edited directly in your dashboard
  • For locked historical records, contact support
  • Extracted data corrections can be made on individual records

7. Response Times

  • Access requests: 15 days
  • Deletion requests: 30 days
  • Portability requests: 30 days
  • Complex requests: 45 days with notice

8. Verification Process

To protect your privacy, we verify identity for sensitive requests:

  • Email verification for logged-in users
  • Additional verification for deletion requests
  • Security questions for account recovery
